Blue Cross Blue Shield of Chattanooga has a commercial
running that has three different scenes:
First, the dad is running behind his little girl teaching her to ride a
two-wheel bicycle. The dad gives her a
big push and says, “I’m right here.”
Then the scene changes to a doctor’s waiting room with an anxious dad. His hands are fidgeting, and his eyes show
fear. His adult daughter takes his hand
and reassuringly says, “I’m right here.”
Again, the scene changes to a novice paddle boarder who wobbles and looks
to her mentor beside her. The instructor
smiles back confidently and says, “I’m right here.” Hey, are you ever nervous? Are you anxious? Do you have insecure moments in your life? Well, you aren’t alone. We all do.
But the dear Lord has promised his children that He will be “Right
there” for them. The writer of Hebrews
confidently says in 13:5, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and
be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave
thee, nor forsake thee.” The question
is, “Are you God’s child?”
