Two weeks ago, I took my dear wife to Cracker Barrel here in Ringgold. We parked the car and I got Kathy into her wheelchair. As I approached the door, a total stranger hurried to open the door for us. Then another stranger from inside held open the inside door for us to continue in. As I thanked both of them, I realized again the goodness of our fellow Americans. Oh, we are all sinners, but most of us have the God-given urge inside of us to do the right thing. And what a shame it would be for kind people to miss heaven and spend eternity separated from God. Actually, the onus is upon us Christians to share with others God’s plan of redemption. We should gather as many people as we can into God’s lifeboat of salvation and rescue them from the cold dark waters of sin. The heart of God is clear: II Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” God wants to be your Savior. Accept His free gift of salvation. And if you have, share that good news with someone today.
