When my wife goes to dialysis, she has to sit still with two needles in one arm and a blood pressure cuff on the other arm – for three hours! So, I try to put things in her dialysis bag to occupy her time. She likes animal crackers, so we keep a jar of them on the counter in the dining room. When the jar gets low, I buy another bag and dump them in. But yesterday, the jar was getting low, and I hadn’t had time to get more, so Kathy just got animal cracker pieces. And as I looked at them in the bottom of the jar, they were a little gory. There were horse hooves, elephant trunks, lion legs, bear paws and zebra heads everywhere! The bottom of the animal cracker jar reminded me of Ezekiel chapter 37 and Ezekiel’s vision of dry bones. God showed Ezekiel a vision of piles of disarticulated bones and God asked him in Ezekiel 37:3, “… Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.” Ezekiel knew that only the dear Lord knows the future. Only God knew the answer to that curious question. And then God revealed to Ezekiel the future restoration of Israel, the second coming of Jesus Christ, and the Millennial Reign of King Jesus! Hey, are you ready for Jesus to come back again? If you are ready, it will be a glorious time for you! If you aren’t ready, it will be a time of great regret.
