Do you believe that God is in charge of the universe? No, I’m not setting you up for a question like “Why does God allow evil to exist?” or “Why does God not do something about cancer?” I’m just asking if you think that God is in charge of things. Oh, I know that God allows Satan a certain amount of power, and God allows consequences for bad decisions, but in general, is God in charge? Of course, the answer is Yes. So when bad things happen to good people you need to realize that these so-called bad things are just opportunities to learn patience. Bad things are opportunities-in-disguise for God to show His might and grace in your life. Hey, you need bad days. How else would you know you were having a good day if you had never had a bad day?! So, use the bad days and use the difficulties when they come your way. God is not using bad things to destroy you; God is using bad things to build you up! Paul said in I Corinthians 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” Don’t fret; don’t fuss; don’t be angry when bad things happen in your life. Let God use the bad things in your day to teach you and to mold you into a better person. And He will! Yes, He will!
