Fingerprint technology is amazing. In order to catch a suspected criminal, the fingerprints have to be lifted and then analyzed. They are then compared to a nationwide database for a match. If the suspected criminal is a repeat offender, their fingerprints are on file and can be compared. The analysist begins to compare ridge to ridge and swirl to swirl for a possible match. But many prints are only partial. A fingerprint begins as similarities are established. What begins as a possibility progresses into a probability, and as more details match, a probability becomes a confirmation. The suspected criminal is confirmed and identified. Hey, if someone were to suspect you of being a Christian, would your life have enough matches to make a confirmation? As your life is compared to the life of Jesus Christ, are you becoming more and more like Jesus? Paul said in II Corinthians 3:18, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” As you look into the searching mirror of Scripture, do you see the image of Jesus Christ as your reflection? Are you becoming more like Him every day? Hey, if you were tried as a Christian, is there enough evidence to convict you? Think about it.
