The wiper blades on our car were showing signs of wear: I could
see streaks when they wiped the rain off our windshield. So, last Monday, I bought two new Michelin
premium wiper blades at Costco. I put
them in the back seat of the car planning to install them when I have the
time. But they have been in the back
seat of the car for almost a week. I
have new wiper blades, but they do me no good unless I put them on the wipers
and use them. Hey, a Bible does you no
good unless you get it out and read it.
The Bible is not a good luck charm that you carry around to ward off the
devil. The Bible is a book intended to
be read. And the Bible is a supernatural
book with the ability to change the one who reads it. Paul said in II Timothy 3:16&17, “All
scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God
may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” The Bible is profitable and the Bible is
purposeful. The Lord gave it to us to
instruct us. Don’t neglect your Bible,
like my wiper blades. Use it and become
a better person.
