My wife likes to clean out every once in a while. But I like to keep all of my stuff. Some people might call it hoarding, but I call it keeping all of my stuff. So, two weeks ago, Kathy cleaned out some things to take to our school yard sale. As I was getting ready to close the back of our little Scion car, I was stopped by a plaque that was poking out. (If you gave the plaque to us, please don’t be offended. You can buy it at the yard sale and the money will go to a good cause.) It said, “Live Simply”. And Kathy had “downsized” the plaque. She was practicing what she preached. Hey, often we store up stuff and act like we will live forever. Storage facilities are multi-billion-dollar businesses! Paul reminded Timothy in I Timothy 6:6-8, “But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.” Once again, my dear wife has taught me a good lesson. Hey, has she taught you a good lesson?
