II Chronicles
18:25-27 Then the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and carry him back to
Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son; And say, Thus saith
the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction
and with water of affliction, until I return in peace. And Micaiah said, If
thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the LORD spoken by me. And he
said, Hearken, all ye people. King Ahab was not happy with Micaiah’s
prophecy, so he commanded him to be put into prison until they returned from
battle. But Micaiah replied, “If you return alive, then I am not a prophet of
God.” Ahab wanted to go to battle, but Micaiah’s prophecy scared him. So King
Ahab disguised himself and went to battle undercover. When the enemy captured
King Jehoshaphat, they were disappointed. They were looking for King Ahab, so
they let Jehoshaphat go. But moments later, a stray arrow found its mark right
into the joint between parts of King Ahab’s armor. King Ahab died that day,
just like the man of God said he would! God judges evil and protects good.
