II Chronicles
22:10-12 But when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she
arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah. But Jehoshabeath,
the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from
among the king's sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a
bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada
the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that
she slew him not. And he was with them hid in the house of God six years: and
Athaliah reigned over the land. When wicked King Ahaziah died, his evil
mother took over the throne. Hey, why do you think that Ahaziah was evil?
Because he had an evil mother! She was so evil that she murdered all of her
grandchildren, nieces and nephews sh that no one would challenge her for the throne.
But, unbeknown to her, Jehoshabeath had rescued a little baby boy from the pile
of bodies. Jehoshabeath hid little Joash and his nurse in the Temple for six
years while evil Queen Athaliah reigned. And when the right time came, Jehoida,
the high priest proclaimed Joash to be the proper king of Judah and wicked
Athaliah was removed from office. God was with Joash and his Godly advisor,
Jehoida.
