I Thessalonians
5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the
feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. Paul l talks
about three groups of people in our verse for today and he says to treat them
differently. The unruly people should be confronted and warned. They had better
shape up! But those who are feebleminded, they should be comforted. They are
easily scared and can’t think things out. They need to be loved and patted on
the back. And then there are the weak people. They can’t make decisions. They
need to be assured that they are doing the right thing. And then Paul finishes
by saying that we need to be easy with everybody. Whether the church members
are weak or feebleminded or unruly, we need to be patient towards all of them.
Patience is like the icing that oozes all over the whole cake. We need to be
patient towards everyone.
