II Thessalonians 2:1-3

II Thessalonians 2:1-3 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. When preachers talk about the end times, often it is confusing. But here in our verses for today, Paul makes it pretty simple. First, Jesus will come and gather all of His little sheep to Himself; that is called the Rapture. All of us Christians will be snatched up quickly into heaven with Jesus. Then secondly, there will be a falling away; there will be a rise in evil and a decline in good. And part of the reason for that is because the good people and the Holy Spirit will be gone, and only the wicked people and Satan will be left. That makes sense. And lastly the Anti-Christ will be revealed. In our verse he is called the man of sin. The Anti-Christ is indescribable evil in a human body. But the good part is that we Christians will not be here to put up with the Anti-Christ’s evil. We will be gone! We will be in heaven with our Jesus Christ when all of this evil is unleashed upon the earth. Isn’t it great to know that Jesus Christ our Savior will take care of us?! Amen!
