This Corona Virus thing is scary. But I heard a great statement by John
McArthur today. He said, “For the
Christian, the end is not the end.” Well
said. We all fear death because we fear
the unknown. But for the Christian,
death is not the unknown and death is not the end. So sorry for those who don’t believe in the truth
of the Gospel. Many today think that
death is annihilation. If this is all we
have, we are “of all men most miserable.”
But we have that “blessed hope” of eternal life with our Lord in
heaven. Paul said in I Corinthians
15:55,57, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? But
thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Our hope is in God and assured to us by the
substitutionary death of Jesus! Hey, I’m
not looking forward to the virus, but I don’t fear its results. Do you?
