When I can’t sleep in the wee hours of the morning, I begin
to pray. I figure that if I can’t sleep,
at least I can pray for people who can.
But usually when I pray in bed, I soon fall back asleep because I am too
comfortable. I think it’s better to kneel
beside my bed in prayer. I’ve got this
theory: the more uncomfortable the position in prayer, the less likely I am to
fall asleep. David said in Psalm 95:6, “O
come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.” Let’s spend some time kneeling before our
Maker in prayer. Hey, let’s do it right
now! I’ll pray for you, and you pray for
me.
