Cross the Line

March 6, I836 is a date that any Texan can recall.  It is the final day of the battle for the Alamo.  Tradition has it that on March 5, the leader of the defenders of the Alamo, Colonel William Travis, called his men together to give them one last chance to leave before facing certain death.  Travis drew a line in the sand with his sword and announced, “Those who wish to stay and defend this land for Texas, step across this line.”  255 Texans stepped across that line.  Jim Bowie, sick and bedridden, asked to be carried across the line.  By that time the next day, all of them were dead.  Hey, you also have a line to cross.  Many folk believe in God, but it is only a head knowledge, like believing in the historical account of the Alamo.  But you must do more than simply believe in God.  You must commit to put your faith in the only begotten Son of God, Jesus, and accept His substitutionary death for you on the cross of Calvary.  You must make the decision to cross that line and commit your heart and life to Jesus.  Paul said in Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”  Have you done that?  Have you made that commitment to Jesus?  Have you crossed that line?  Message or text me for more information.
