If, for some reason, you were to be evicted from your nice home, that would be terrible. But if you were evicted from an old, dilapidated tent that you were using just to keep the rain off of you, that would be nothing. You would easily take the few things that you had and move to a better place. Paul complained in II Corinthians 5:4, “For we that are in this tabernacle (tent) do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.” The apostle Paul was different. He woke up in the morning disappointed that he was alive another day! He wanted to leave his old body (temporary tent) and get his new body from the Lord and move into heaven! Hey, as we grow older, with all of our aches, pains, and diseases, our heavenly home becomes sweeter and sweeter. And someday, we will be reunited with our heavenly Father to dwell with Him in glory! What a day that will be!
