John 4:24

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. In our verse for today, Jesus was explaining to the woman of Samaria that God the Father was a spirit. You cannot see God with your eyes. You cannot go to the Temple in Jerusalem – or anywhere else, for that matter – and see God. The woman had asked Jesus where was the right place to worship God? In Jerusalem where Jesus was going to or in Samaria, where the woman lived. But Jesus told her that neither place was the right place to worship God! He told her that she could pray to God and worship Him in her heart, right where they were!. That is the great thing about God: as a spirit, He can be anywhere on earth, and He can be right there with you! You will never be alone if you have the Lord in your heart. He will never leave you or forsake you.
