I Timothy 4:12 Let
no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in
conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Usually we think
that the older people should be examples to the younger people. Those who have
been saved for a long time should be more faithful to church; They should have
their tempers under control because they have been at it for a long time. The
older folk should be the Sunday School teachers and the song leaders. But that
isn’t what our verse for today says. Paul told young Timothy that he was to be
an example to the older church members, and Paul was right! Isn’t it refreshing
to see young people leading in the church?! Isn’t it great to see young people
who love the Lord and want to serve Him?! A younger generation who loves God is
an encouragement to the entire congregation! Their excitement is contagious and
an example to everyone! I am glad for faithful adults, but I am more excited
about faithful teens! How refreshing! What a great example to everyone!
Christian teenagers leading for the Lord!
