Numbers 9:17 And
when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children
of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children
of Israel pitched their tents. God filled the Tabernacle with His glory –
it was called the shekinah glory. It was a towering cloud by day and a towering
flame of fire at night. When the cloud or fire started to move, the Levites
packed up the portable Tabernacle and followed the shekinah glory wherever it
went. And all of the people fell in behind. Only God knew when the cloud would
move or where it would go, or how long it would be traveling. The people just
followed. What a beautiful picture of the New Testament Christian life:
wherever God leads, we should follow.
