I have an Arrow manual stapler that I have used for years. But this isn’t the first one that I have had. Years ago, I was refilling my first stapler when the plunger popped out and fell to the ground. I put it back in behind the row of staples, but the stapler didn’t work. The plunger was jammed. I took the plunger out and straightened the traveler end, which bent when it hit the ground, but it still didn’t work. The staples were so narrow, and the channel that they slid into was so tight that the traveler had to line up perfectly for the stapler work. I couldn’t find where the traveler was damaged, but it was enough to make the stapler not work. I had to buy a new stapler (the one that I have now) just because of the bent traveler on the end of the plunger that I had accidentally dropped! Hey, little problems on the inside can lead to major failures on the outside. Jesus warned the hypocrites in Matthew 23:25&26, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.” Hey, a clean outside of the cup is good, but a clean inside of the cup is absolutely critical! So … what is on the inside of your heart? Are you clean within? Now would be a good time to take care of that inside.
