Habakkuk 2:14

Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk was a prophet and is speaking about a future time. A future time for him and a future time for us. After Christ returns and after the tribulation period, Jesus Christ will set up His earthly kingdom. He will rule over the earth and will let us Christians help Him rule. Satan will be bound in chains of darkness for one thousand years and earth will be a peaceful place. The Holy Spirit of God will not permit any rebellion and everything will be peace and safety. What a wonderful time it will be!

Habakkuk 1:13

Habakkuk 1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity … There are many traits of God that are interesting. A trait is something that you can say that a person always does or is. For example, God is pure. God is holy. God is never-changing. And there are many more. Our verse in Habakkuk says that God is pure. So if God is too pure to look at evil, does that mean that He can’t see our sin? Well yes and no. You see, God has already paid for our sins on the cross of Calvary. Our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. So when God looks at us, He doesn’t see our sin; He sees only the blood of Jesus Christ. He is looking at our sins, but He sees only the blood of Jesus Christ. God has forgiven us, and our sins will never be remembered. Praise the Lord!

Nahum 1:7

Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Jesus Christ has been described in many ways: a mighty fortress, a strong tower, and an anchor in the storms of life. When we have difficulty, it is great to know that we can depend upon the Lord. And it is great to recall that He knows us. It is comforting to be able to put our trust in God and know that He will not fail!
