John 6:44 No man
can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise
him up at the last day. Salvation is all about God and nothing about us. We
accept God’s gift of salvation, but even the faith to believe comes from God.
He has done all of the work for salvation and all that is left for us to do is
to believe. Paul said in Acts 16:31, “Believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” Paul also said in Titus
3:5 that salvation is “Not by works of
righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy ...” Our only job is to accept the work that Jesus has already done.
