John 9:1-3 And as
Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples
asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was
born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but
that the works of God should be made manifest in him. The disciples were
looking to blame someone for this man who was born blind. They asked which one
had sinned. But Jesus reminded them that when someone has a problem, it is not
always because someone has sinned. Let me ask you a question: In order for
Jesus to perform a wonderful miracle and heal someone of blindness, what did
Jesus first have to have? He had to have a blind person! God had allowed this
poor man to be born blind so that someday, the great teacher, Jesus would be
able to heal someone of their blindness! And God allows difficulties in our
lives as well, so that He can show Himself to be our Great Savior! Jesus
delights in solving problems. He loves to hear us coming to Him in prayer with
our needs. He likes to help His dear children. Call on Him. He is ready to hear
and to answer our prayers!
