I Kings 15:16 And
there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days. Jeroboam’s
son, Abijah, died early because of Jeroboam’s sin. When Jeroboam died, his other
son, Nadab was king for only two years when Baash overpowered him and took over
as king of Israel. And when Rehoboam, the king of Judah died, Asa became king
of Judah. But the feud between Jeroboam and Rehoboam continued as a feud
between Baasha and Asa. So much energy was wasted because of sin and pride and
fighting. When we get our eyes off God, we get cranky and selfish. So when we
get hard to get along with, we have a spiritual problem. Get right with God and
then get right with each other. Too bad the kings of Israel and Judah didn’t
take that advice.
