I Kings 15:25,26
And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of
Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years. And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin
wherewith he made Israel to sin. When Ahijah prophesied against Jeroboam,
he said that God would destroy all of his family. And after only two years as
king, Nadab was killed in a civil war with Baasha of the tribe of Issachar. And
Baasha’s first order of business as the new king was to kill everyone in
Jeroboam’s family so that they would be no threat to him as the new king. But
actually, without knowing it, Baasha was fulfilling Ajijah’s prophecy against
Jeroboam! No one of Jeroboam’s family was left. Jeroboam’s wickedness was
finally punished. Galatians 6:7& 8 are true: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life
everlasting.
