I Chronicles 22:5
And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be
builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory
throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So
David prepared abundantly before his death. The Lord told King David that
he couldn’t build the Temple to God because David was a man of war. God told
David that his son, Solomon would be a man of peace and he would build the
Temple. But David loved God and wanted to build the Temple soooooo bad. So he
found a loop-hole. David just stockpiled all kinds of precious materials for
his son, Solomon to use. David collected iron for nails and brass too much to
weigh. David collected gold and silver for the implements and vessels. He got
cedar wood and hired men to quarry great stones for the foundation. He just
felt good about getting all of the stuff ready for a magnificent Temple to his
God. David really loved God. Do you love God?
