Parchment Paper Rounds

I am so proud of myself!  A year ago, I got the bright idea to cut parchment paper to fit in our air fryer basket.  Those skinny French fries kept falling through the wire basket and burning on the bottom of the air fryer.  I’m not sure which was worse: having to clean out the burned mess on the bottom of the air fryer or losing a French fry.  I told my son about my cleverness, and he said, “You know that they make precut rounds of parchment paper, don’t you?”  At that moment my cleverness melted away as his cleverness swelled.  Back at home, I measured the basket, ordered a box of parchment paper rounds, and I was all set!  And now I use the round parchment paper in my wife’s cake pan to bake my morning biscuits.  My cleverness has returned.  Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 1:9, “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”  Hmmmm ...  I wonder if Solomon knew about parchment paper?  I’ll just bet that he didn’t know about parchment paper rounds.  I am so clever!
