On the way to cardiac rehab, I use the main entrance which has a circle driveway. There is a little naturalized area in the middle with shrubs and grass, but no sidewalk. The architect obviously wanted folk to use the outside of the circle drive (where the sidewalk is) and not the inside (where the grass is). But if you look at the picture below, people have worn the grass down and made their own shorter path to the door. The architect obviously didn’t know human nature. Folk will step over, around, and through just to save a few steps. Simply put: we are just lazy. We look for the short cut. The same is true in the spiritual world. We want to get to God our own way. We want a short cut to God. But if we want to get to God, we must go God’s way … no short cuts. God’s way is simple, but God’s way requires humility. Proverbs 16:25, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Our way leads to eternal death, but God’s way leads to everlasting life. I hope you have made your choice for life. Hey, if you are confused about the way, message me and we can talk.
