Shopping ... or not

I went into Hobby Lobby Saturday morning to get some ribbon and tissue paper for a birthday party.  While looking for the ribbon, I noticed mostly women in the store.  Actually, too many women for me to be comfortable.  In the checkout line, I noticed a man come in with his wife and daughter.  The ladies looked happy and pleased to be shopping, but the man looked like he would rather be at Lowe’s or Home Depot.  Before I made it to the cashier, I saw two more men come in.  Each gave me a pitiful glance as they followed their female into unfamiliar territory.  Poor fellows.  See you at Tractor Supply on Monday … two hours before Hobby Lobby opens.  Hey, do you look like the men or look the ladies when you go to church?  Are you happy to be there or are you there out of protest?  Do you feel like you are doing God a favor by showing up at church?  Or can you say with David in Psalm 122:1, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.”  When you shake hands with the pastor at the end of the service and he says, “Thank you for coming today,” do you say (like they say at Chick fil-A), “My pleasure!”?
