Job 1:6,7

Job 1:6,7 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. In these two verses we get a glimpse of what goes on in heaven. God called to all of His holy angels up to heaven to line up and to receive their orders. And, low and behold, Satan showed up with them! Satan used to be the chief angel, but was booted out because of his sinful pride. But evidently, Satan still has access to God’s throne room, and shows up just to cause trouble. Satan is never up to anything good; he is always causing trouble. And God lets Satan show up now and then in heaven just so that He can see Satan defeated. Tomorrow we will see how Satan causes trouble for Job. But never forget: Satan is powerful, but God is all powerful! Don’t let Satan bother you. You belong to God and Satan can’t do you any harm. Don’t give in to Satan. Keep him on the outside, looking in.
