Job 2:3

Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. Here in chapter two, Satan shows up once again in heaven. Do you think that he showed up to tell God that He was right about Job? Of course not. Satan wanted to accuse Job once again. God rubbed it in that Job still was faithful. But Satan wanted a second round against Job. Satan wanted to tempt Job with physical illness. So God let Satan have a try. God said, “Go ahead and afflict Job’s body, but don’t kill him. You can take away Job’s health, but you can’t take away his life.” And Satan did. Satan sent all kinds of germs and bacteria to attack Job. Job suffered such pain and fever that he could barely make it. Job’s wife was no encouragement. She told Job just to blame God and then die. But Job didn’t. He knew that God loved him and would take care of him. Job said, “God gives us good times and God gives us bad times. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” What a wonderful testimony! Do you think God was proud of Job? Do you think Satan went back to heaven to talk about Job? No way! Satan had lost! God had won! Job was faithful to God.
