God's Forever Family

It is wonderful when a philanthropist with piles of money decides to build an orphanage for homeless children.  But it is even more exciting when someone decides to adopt one of those orphans as their own.  The orphan is excited about having a new building to live in, but how much more excited they must be to know that someone actually wants them to be in their family.  God didn’t just give us a wonderful place to live in someday, He gave His only Son to pay for our adoption into His forever family.  Heaven is not just where we will live; heaven will be our forever home with our heavenly Father!  Jesus said in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  God didn’t just love us, He wanted us to live with Him in heaven, and Jesus did what it took to give us the opportunity to be with Him as part of His forever family!  I love my heavenly Father, don’t you?

Revival

I was going through my phone looking for a number when my eyes focused on an old friend’s name.  It had been years since I had spoken to him, so I shot him a short text reminding him of wonderful memories of long-ago times.  A warm response came back quickly, and we both felt better and reconnected.  The same is true of the dear Lord.  Revival is not about knowing more Bible facts.  It isn’t about knowing more Bible doctrine.  It isn’t understanding prophecy.  It’s loving God once again.  The Church at Ephesus was a great church, but the Lord said, in Revelation 2:4, “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.”  Jesus went on to say that the solution was simple: remember where you have fallen from, repent, and get back to where you were with Jesus Christ.  Hey, reconnect with the dear Lord, and right now would be a good time.  He has been patiently waiting.

Melissa Ohden

A young lady went to an abortion clinic. She was seven months into a pregnancy and was given an injection of saline solution intended to burn her unborn child in her womb.  After five days, she went into labor and should have delivered a dead baby.  But somehow, the baby was alive.  An attending nurse who couldn’t stand to see the baby struggling to breathe, rushed her to the neonatal unit, and the aborted little girl survived.  Melissa Ohden was adopted by loving parents, survived without complications, and is now married and the mother of two girls herself.  God has a plan for each child - wanted and unwanted.  David said in Psalm 139:14, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”  Each baby that is born is uniquely made by Almighty God.  Oh, please choose life, not death.  Adoption is a wonderful option!  https://melissaohden.com
