Genesis 2:8,9,15-17

Genesis 2:8,9,15-17 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. God gave Adam a job and a commandment. Adam’s job was to take care of the Garden of Eden, which the Lord God had planted. And Adam’s commandment was to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God gave Adam hundreds of trees of which he could freely eat. But God gave Adam only one tree of which he was commanded not to eat. Sometimes we are like Adam. We focus on the things that God has told us not to do instead of focusing on the many things that God has provided for us to do. God is good, but Satan is evil. Satan tempted Adam to sin. But God loved Adam and gave Adam a perfect place to live. Never forget, God loves you too!
