Matthew 7:7,8

Matthew 7:7,8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. God does not just give us stuff. He sent manna for the Children of Israel to eat, but that was just while they were in the wilderness wandering around in an area that had absolutely no food. But once the Children of Israel went into the Promised Land, the manna stopped. God expected them to find their own food. God gives worms to the robins, but He expects them to work to get those worms out of the ground. Our verse says that if we ask, we will receive; If we seek, we will find; and if we knock, it will be opened to us. God has wonderful gifts to give to us, but He expects us to come to Him with our requests in prayer. And once we come to our heavenly Father in prayer, He will act. He just loves to give good things to His dear children! I have a song that says, “Prayer moves the heart that moves the hand that moves the world.” And that is true. We can ask our Father and He will do it for us!
