I Corinthians 1:31

I Corinthians 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. When you do something great, you like to brag about it, don’t you? Have you ever scored a goal in soccer? Have you ever done a handstand or a cartwheel? Have you ever painted a beautiful picture? Have you ever saved your money and bought someone the perfect birthday present? But what if your mother gave you the money to buy that present? Could you brag about buying it is she gave you the money? Of course not. So why do we brag when we score a goal? Didn’t God give us the muscles and coordination to do the work? Doesn’t God keep our heart pumping? Doesn’t God give us the balance to do the cartwheel? Didn’t God give us good vision to see beauty and the coordination in our hands to paint beautiful pictures? Everything that we are able to do is a gift from God, our Creator. We may do things, but God lets us do them. God gives us everything. So why not thank God and praise Him for whet we have? Now that’s a good idea.
