Leviticus 5:5-7,11

Leviticus 5:5-7,11 And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing: And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin. And if he be not able to bring a lamb, … two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering. But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering … The dear Lord had the Children of Israel bring a sacrifice to the Tabernacle to remind them that sin has consequences. And to pay for sin, death must occur. The sacrificial animal was innocent, but had to die in place of the sinner. And God made provisions for everyone, even for the poor people. They could bring two pigeons, which were everywhere and easy to be had. But even the poor people had to bring a sacrifice. That is because each and every one of us are sinners. We all need a sacrifice for sins. We all need Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
