Leviticus 19:35-37

Leviticus 19:35-37 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure. Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt. Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD. We take accurate measurements for granted. When we buy a can of green beans that is labeled “16 ounces”, what would you think if there were only 15 ounces in the can? Would you feel ripped off? Would you feel cheated? What if your dad pumped 21 gallons of gas, but ran out early? Was the gas pump accurate? Just weights are important to the buyer and seller. Fair measures are necessary for a good marketplace. But most important of all, God is watching, and God expects fairness.
