James 1:5

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Our first question is what does “upbraiding” mean? Upbraiding means to remind someone that they are not smart. Even though we aren’t as smart as God, God never reminds us that we are not as smart as He is. God is too kind to be mean to us. We may be mean to others, but God is never mean to us. So if we need wisdom, we can ask God to give us wisdom. God will never remind us that we aren’t as wise as He is. And best of all, God will give us the wisdom that we ask for. Just like King Solomon asked God for wisdom, we can ask God for wisdom. And He will give it to us!
