Revelation 6:1 And
I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise
of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. The number seven
is the symbolic number of perfection in the Bible. So in Revelation, there are
seven seals that are opened in chapters 6 thru 8. A seal is like a sticker that
is put over the flap of an envelope to seal the letter. As each seal is opened,
terrible things will happen to the unbelieving people of earth. But God does
not want His people to be caught off guard in the coming days. God wants us to
be informed. The book of Revelation uses many symbolic words like the sevens
and the seals, but all of this is pretty easy to understand - if
we ask the Holy Spirit to guide us. And if we ask, He will!
