Stuffed

I took my grandchildren to the Tennessee Aquarium and there was a shallow tank where they could touch small sharks.  I asked the lady if the sharks ever nipped at any of the kids who petted them.  She assured me that they didn’t.  She said, “We feed them just before petting time.  We actually feed them too much so they don’t want to take another bite.”  Hey, sometimes we are like those little sharks.  God has blessed us so much in America that we are “stuffed” with His blessings.  We just couldn’t take another bite, even if we wanted to!  Solomon got it right when he said, “Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.” Proverbs 25:16  Today, let’s step back and take a closer look at God’s blessings upon us and upon our nation.  Let’s be a little more grateful and be a little more thoughtful.
