I John 2:9

I John 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. Have you noticed that it isn’t enough to say the right thing; you have to do the right thing. Some people say they are a Christian, but don’t act like it. They may be mean to people during the week and laugh at wicked jokes but on Sunday dress up and go to church just like they are goody-goody. What is that called? That is called being a hypocrite. they say one thing but do another. Our verse says that if you say that you are a Christian, but hate your brother (or sister) you are being a hypocrite – the truth of God is not in you and you are wrong. That’s pretty strong. But God doesn’t like hypocrites. So let’s not be one. Be the same on Monday as you are on Sunday. Be the same on the baseball field as you are in Sunday school. Be the same on the soccer field as you are at Master Club at church on Wednesday night. Let’s be real Christians.
