I Chronicles 9:1 So
all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the
book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for
their transgression. The first eight chapters of First Chronicles lists the
names of all of the men who conquered the Promised Land under Joshua’s
leadership. Wow! Eight whole chapters of lists of names! So what is our
take-away from this? First, God is interested in individuals. And secondly, God
is interested in His people. And isn’t that great to know?! Remember, God knows
who you are and God cares about you.
