I Chronicles 18:14-17

I Chronicles 18:14-17 So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people. And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder. And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe; And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king. David’s administration was organized and running like a NASCAR racecar. Now if you don’t know what NASCAR is, well everything was running smoothly! David had his army organized and he had the priests organized and he had his government organized. David put good men - trusted men in places of leadership. He had faith in them and let them do their work. When problems arose, David knew that his men would do their best to make things work. He trusted them and they trusted him. As the saying goes, “They had his back”. It’s good to know that your staff workers are looking out for you.
