II Kings 16:19 Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? King after king ruled in Israel and king after king ruled in Judah. But most of the kings of Israel were wicked and followed Idol worship. That is because they didn’t want to worship God at God’s Temple in Jerusalem. The northern kings had to keep their people away from Jerusalem in order to protect their kingdom. And most of the kings of Israel followed wickedness and not God. How sad. Because of their politics, their relationship with God was destroyed. God should have come first, but He came last. And because of that, Israel was constantly being punished by God.
