16:23,27,29,34 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day
his salvation. Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are
in his place. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an
offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. O
give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
David was so excited to be anointed the king of Israel that he had to sing!
David wrote many of the Psalms, you know! And in this song that David sang,
there are several great phrases. One of them tells us that we should give the
Lord the glory due unto His name. The name of the Lord is mighty and powerful.
Obviously, the God of the universe deserves great glory too. Not only is the
Lord holy and good, but God is merciful. God is perfect, but he is so kind in
order to accept us, who are so imperfect. And God accepts us because He is
merciful. Praise the name of the Lord!
