Last week, I started painting the outside of our house. It has been almost 25 years since the last coat of paint was put on, and I was the one who did it. Although I would like to change colors, changing colors would require two coats to cover to original color, and I’m too lazy to paint two coats. But I’m glad Jesus didn’t cut corners when He covered my sins! And He covered them with only one coat of His blood on Calvary’s cross! Isaiah said in Isaiah 1:18, “… though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” I’m so glad that my black sins have been painted over by the precious blood of Jesus Christ! When God looks at my heart, He sees only the pure whiteness of His son, Jesus Christ. Hallelujah, what a Savior!
