Read Psalms 20:7  Back in Bible times the army did not have tanks and Hummers to ride in.  They did not have airplanes with machine guns and bombs.  The best equipment that they had were chariots with horses to pull them.  When soldiers were going into battle, they were afraid when those big chariots rolled out against them.  The horses would trample them and the charioteers would shoot arrows at them from safely behind the chariot shield.  Many kings trusted in their chariots to win the battle for them.  But this verse tells us that we should trust in the Lord, our God instead of chariots.  God is much stronger and a better fighter than all of the chariots that an evil king could possibly gather together.  This verse reminds us that although some will trust in their mighty chariots and powerful horses, we will trust in the name of the Lord, our God!
