II Corinthians 8:9

II Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. What is grace? Grace is undeserved favor. Do we deserve God’s love? No! But we are grateful that God gives His grace to us! God loved us and sent His dear Son, Jesus down to earth to die for us. Jesus, who had all the riches in heaven, laid all of it aside and came down to live a lowly life. Jesus never owned land; Jesus never had a house; Jesus never owned a horse or a farm. Jesus had nothing but the clothes on his back. So why did He give us so much? So that we might have so much! He gave up heaven to die for us, so that we might gain heaven. Like our verse says, Jesus became poor so that we might become rich. Thank you Jesus for loving us!
