Leviticus 15:2,8

Leviticus 15:2,8 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man hath a running issue out of his flesh, because of his issue he is unclean. And if he that hath the issue spit upon him that is clean; then he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. If a man had an oozing sore or a bleeding ulcer in his skin or a boil or diarrhea or . . . oh, sorry to gross you out, but you get the picture. It is amazing that God knew how to keep the Children of Israel safe from contagious diseases way back in Bible times. Louis Pasteur, the great French scientist, discovered that diseases were passed from one sick person to another by microscopic germs. Pasteur made his discoveries about 1860. But amazingly, Moses wrote the rules about cleanness and uncleanness in the Levitical law some 3,300 years before Pasteur! Actually God told Moses what to write because God made mankind and germs. He knew all about how to keep us safe from dangerous diseases. God knows everything. Even about tiny, microscopic germs.
