Leviticus 17:10,11
And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that
sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face
against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his
people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you
upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that
maketh an atonement for the soul. There are some cultures who eat blood
pudding. I know that sounds gross, but blood is just like meat. But God told
the Children of Israel not to eat blood because it was the key to life.
Absolutely amazing! God knew that the heart, the arteries, and the veins
carried the life-giving blood throughout the body. And God had Moses to write
this 3,500 years before William Harvey discovered the circulatory system in the
early 1600’s! God know our bodies because He made us. Life is special to God
and our blood is special to life. You can trust God. He knows everything.
