I Kings 17:1

I Kings 17:1 And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. Ahab and Israel were so wicked that God had to punish them. God sent His prophet, Elijah to warn Ahab that He was sending a drought. Israel needed water to grow food and to water their animals. But three years without water?! That was unheard of! Actually, Ahab and Jezebel’s wickedness was unheard of too! So Elijah delivered the warning of the famine to Ahab, and then Elijah ran for it! God sent him down by the brook Cherith. Every day, God commanded ravens to bring Elijah food and Elijah drank of the water from the brook! Some people have home delivery from Wal-Mart or Target or Amazon, but Elijah had home delivery by these big birds! Amazing! But with the drought going on and on,  soon the brook dried up. But God had another plan for Elijah. And it was pretty exciting!
